These Terms and Conditions govern all email communications sent to or from Lightwood PLC. By communicating with us via email, you agree to the following conditions.

3. Warehousing Services

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

All warehousing services provided by Lightwood PLC are carried out under the current Terms and Conditions of the United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA).

​

These terms define:

  • storage conditions

  • liability limitations

  • warehouse operator responsibilities

  • customer obligations.

4. Transport and Freight Conditions

​

Transport services arranged or undertaken by Lightwood PLC operate under the following industry conditions unless otherwise agreed in writing:

​

UK Domestic Freight

​

Transport within the United Kingdom is carried under the Road Haulage Association (RHA) Conditions of Carriage currently in force.

​

European Freight

​

International transport within Europe is carried under the CMR Convention (Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road).

​

These frameworks set out limitations of liability, responsibilities, and claims procedures relating to freight transportation.

​

5. Insurance of Goods

​

Goods handled, stored, or transported by Lightwood PLC are not automatically fully insured.

​

Insurance cover will only apply where:

  • Specific prior arrangements have been made, and

  • Written confirmation has been issued by Lightwood PLC.

 

Customers are advised to arrange their own insurance where appropriate.

6. Data Protection and GDPR

​

In accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and applicable data protection legislation:

​

Lightwood PLC processes personal data under the lawful basis of Legitimate Interests for the purposes of:

  • business communications

  • logistics operations

  • customer service
